There are many different laws that provide protection for employees needing family and medical leave. In California, both federal and state leave laws may apply to an employee’s leave. Federal laws regulating leaves are complex and California leave laws are numerous. This program will help you understand the various leave laws applicable in California and how the specific policies are applied. You will learn about who is eligible for which kinds of leaves; explore the interplay between the FMLA, CFRA and PDL; and understand how the different leave laws perform.
